According to Top Gear and CNN, Transfagarasan (152 km up to 2042 m high) is the most beautiful road in the world. According to us Transfagarasan is a must see route if you want to drive over the clouds, or to see breathtaking landscapes in sunny days. Before starting to drive on Transfagarasan we will visit the real fortress of Dracula, Poienari Fortress. For people who can climb 1500 stairs, a visit to this fortress in recommended. After we leave the huge barage of Vidraru behind, we enter the Transfagarasan. For about 4 – 5 hours the landscape is amazing. We will cross the mountains and arrive in Transylvania where we will visit the Sibiu Medieval Town.
